Emcure Pharmaceuticals has launched its IPO, and Namita Thapar is set to make a fortune from it. Emcure Pharmaceuticals launched its IPO on July 3, aiming to raise 1,952 crore rupees.
For this IPO, the company has released 1.14 crore shares to the market as an Offer for Sale (OFS).
They aim to raise 1,152 crore rupees from this and an additional 800 crore rupees from a fresh issue. However, the person who will benefit the most from this IPO is the company's director, Namita Thapar.
Namita Thapar had previously bought over 60 lakh shares of Emcure at ₹3.44 per share, totaling an investment of 2.14 crore rupees.
Now, at the time of the IPO, the value of one share has reached between ₹960 and ₹1,008. Namita is set to earn ₹127.87 crore by selling her 12.68 lakh shares, which is 293 times more than her initial investment.
Additionally, considering her leadership skills and vision, Emcure Pharma has reappointed her as a director for the next five years.
