Disney's Elemental - Behind the voices

Показать описание
No team makes hit after hit quite the way Disney and Pixar do. This year’s new film, Elemental, is certainly no exception. This movie was an instant classic, and as is true with so many Disney and Pixar films, the amazingly talented cast of voice actors had a lot to do with how much audiences fell in love with these characters.
So, how did this cast come together, and what made them so good at bringing their characters to life? Elemental’s director, Peter Sohn, clearly set out to build a cast that could relate particularly well to their characters. As a result, the film has folks behind it who really knew how to get into each other’s heads. Of course, there are amazing comedic actors like Catherine O’Hara, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Joe Pera, who managed to add some new faces to their lists of iconic roles. But, other actors’ relationships with their characters ran especially deep. Mamoudou Athie played Wade Ripple, and since he was getting his U.S. citizenship while filming, his character’s story of being an immigrant hit especially close to home. Shila Ommi and Ronnie Del Carmen, who played Cinder and Bernie Lumen also had special ties to their immigrant characters. Leah Lewis played Ember Lumen, and she really related to her character’s spicy personality and fierce loyalty and love of family.
Learning more about this amazing group of voice actors makes this already enjoyable movie even more fun.
