As a veteran, I think the attacks on Walz service in the military are so disrespectful and disgusting. You know he did 20 years before 9/11? He did his job, he had no obligation to go. One thing they hit him on is he didnt finish the 6 year contract he signed that gave him the rank of E-9 temporarily, he did 4 years of it. He left the military to become a Congressman in 2005. One issue I've seen was he left while saying he was E-9 while he was temporarily only E-9 but thats semantics and ingenuine. He earned that rank, he got there and he did his duty.
Also his daughter was born around 9/11 and they struggled to get pregnant with her. So of course after trying for so long to have a child and he finally got one, he didnt want to go to war. Republicans are disgusting to think he didnt do his duty when he very much did so and he went above and beyond the call of duty.

WHY are you not reporting on the fact that, despite what he wants us to believe, Shady Vance SAW NO COMBAT?
Vance (then known as James D Hamel) was deployed to Iraq in 2005 with the aircraft wing but did NOT serve as a front-line combatant. He was a correspondent, meaning he was tasked with basic communication roles such as writing articles about the happenings in his unit, HE WAS NOT IN COMBAT.
Walz served 24 years, including overseas supporting forces in Iraq and Afghanistan and has been praised by Veterans for his service. Walz retired in May of 2005.
The 125th Field Artillery Regiment, Walz's unit, deployed to Iraq in March 2006, TEN MONTHS after Walz retired.
If anyone has "stolen valour" it is VANCE.

That newswoman, who said he was clapping for himself, is either not that big on Walz and sort of “damming him with faint praise”, or not very observant in the cultural way of her people :D
It is totally common to clap along with a crowd that is clapping for you - sort of like you’re saying “Oh no, not ME, you, YOU’RE the stars, ‘clap, clap, clap’ Has that woman never seen an award show! :D
