Hello and happy Sunday David & Yasmeena. Appreciate hearing your thoughts. I was weighing either a X-T50 or the D-Lux 8 for a small camera addition. Liked both but had settled on the Leica because it was just more fun to use. I know I could just use my phone, but holding a "real" camera just feels right. Thanks - tim

I now have more experience with my DLux-8 and loving it more and There is a lot of information in the DNG-files!

Happy Sunday David. I recently decided on the Fuji X-T50 and the Leica D-Lux 8 for travel. I usually travelled with a Canon 5D IV and assorted lens with a Panasonic S5II for wildlife and landscapes in Costa Rica. The weight and size were becoming taxing on my back and neck so I decided to try smaller systems. I am very happy with my choices and appreciative of your insight to ais in my decisions. Surely if you are comparing the x100 to a Leica it should be the Q3. Both fixed lens cameras. It really has nothing in common with the D Lux8

Save 80% of the money and buy the original lx100 which almost same as dlux

The fuji is nothing like like the Leica, and the Leica is just a Lumix LX100 in all but name with very few up dates from the D Lux7.
Save money and buy a Lumix.
