Exactly! Lack of faith is why God was mad at David for taking the census. David tried to measure the power of Israel when he should have trusted on the Lord’s strength to protect them. I am guilty of the same at times. People call it “easy believism” but it is a lot harder to trust in Christ alone without trying to add our self righteousness. Believing your “good works” can save you is foolish. Jesus paid our debt in full. Jesus said: It is finished!
We should strive to follow and obey Christ because we love him. But he loved us first when we were dead in our sins.

1 John 5:10-11 is a passage I like to use to show people what it means to believe on Jesus.

1 John 5:10 - He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
1 John 5:11 - And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Brother Onoroto is always showing and explaining this Grace Gospel so well.

The way I analogize this is when I mean I put full faith/trust in Christ for my Salvation is this . Many of us know the game poker, and when players move of going "ALL IN" with the chips.

I put all my chips in as to say, in What Christ Did for my salvation. There is no chips I'm either setting aside or adding for my guarantee of Salvation. I put full faith in what HE has accomplished and that his blood atonement was more than enough to cover all of my sins past, present, and future.

Another great video! My Standing on salvation based on Gods Word. I emphasize the exclusive sufficiency of Christ's work for salvation, grounding it in various passages of the New Testament, such as Ephesians 2:8-9, which states, "For by grace I have been saved through faith. And this is not my own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that I may not boast." However, it's essential for me to recognize that while salvation is a free gift received by faith, my Christian life involves ongoing growth, sanctification, and obedience to God. Repentance, asking for forgiveness, and seeking to live in accordance with God's will are all integral aspects of my journey. Yet, I understand them not as prerequisites for salvation but as responses to the grace and love of God poured out through Jesus Christ.

So while I emphasize the sufficiency of Christ's work for salvation, I also recognize the importance of living a life of faith, repentance, and obedience empowered by the Holy Spirit. This balance acknowledges both the free gift of salvation and the call to respond in gratitude and obedience to God's grace. Repent does not mean asking for forgiveness. Repent means to turn away or changer your mind not to be forgiven.

To be saved you need to Believe in and on the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is the trust and commit. *אֱמוּנָה בַּאלֹהִים: * "Faith in God"
*חיים באמונה: * "Living with faith" "believe" involves not just mental assent but also a deeper level of commitment and trust. It's more than just saying "I believe" and closer to saying "I trust and commit myself to it. I want to make this clear "Repent does not mean asking for forgiveness. Repent means to turn away or changer your mind. Not asking to be forgiven." God Bless you all!!!
