If she was still alive, she would be killing the game right now no doubt about it. I don’t know why, I used to hate this song when I was a kid. but I knew nothing about it. But damn as I got older I enjoy it. Brings back so many memories in the early 2000s. but this song always did come on at the best times. Especially when I’m in the car vibing. there was always something about this song that was so majestic. But I’ve always loved the instrumental.

Aaliyah dying tragically at such a young age makes me so sad. I have no doubt she should have gone on to be one of the classic legendary divas - like Toni Braxton, Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, etc. Such a talent taken away from us far too soon. Knowing what has come out, and that she was given medicine, I think her death was intentional.
