Afghanistan has been impressive, they played well in the last world cup, and will be again impressive this time. Nz has a terrible selection policy, Incompetent Coach, bad captaincy that has plagued them for years, but thats another story.
Kane williamson is a test player, one of the best, but not a T20 player, this year in Ipl played only 2 games, not required by Mumbai Indians.
Devon Conway was out of form before he got injured, has not played for 3 months, is selected ahead of Batting star Rivindra?? who played well in Ipl this year.
Why isnt Tim Seifiet playing, wicket keeper/ hard hitting batsman. Conway is not a wicket keeper, Another Gary Stead blunder.
Today in T20 par scores are around 190 to 230+. NZ unfortnately apart from Rivindra / Mitchell/ Philips do not have the fire power.
Boult / Ferguson are good bowlers, Henry can be on the day, Hope to god they stay away from Southee who has no impact unless the ball swings, cannot bat to save his life, and causes discontent among his team mates, Ask Neil Wagner. I will not be shocked to see NZ going home early. A shame as I have been a follower since Geoff Howarth days.
