The essential elements of effective team meetings, if you want to foster great teamwork:
• Have an Objective
• Agenda in advance
• Invite the right people
• Good behavior
- Start promptly
- Resume promptly after breaks
- If you need to make or take a call, step out
- Only use devices if you are using them for meeting business (like taking notes)
- Listen respectfully and avoid talking over other people
- Be open and honest
- Everyone should participate
- Stay on the present topic
• Team meeting vs Team Leader meeting
• Everyone contributes
• Red Herrings and Black Holes
• Summarize and conclude as you go – actions on a board
• Keep it lively
• Follow-up

3. After each of your next few team meetings, review how they went and adjust your plan accordingly. Continue to monitor until you have seen a series of improvements. (2 MC CPD Points)
