This isn't a fair video for Asana. I've been a Trello user for 3 years (love it), BUT, I recently decided to move to Asana. Trello is all about boards, but in Asana you con make your projects in board-look too, same as Trello and see all of them in the list on the left of the screen all the "My task" view you show in this video is actually why I moved to Asana; every single task asigned to you no matter what board or card is in, it wil be showed immediately in the main view so you don't have to search every single project board. You can also add tasks to that list that don't belong to any project...the Asana cellphone app is also more useful

I use both Trello and Asana. I also use Bridge24 when it's time to generate charts and reports for my projects.

Asana offers a board layout option too. I hope you can re-record the video with that in mind.

So I've been an Asana fan, but I don't think I got off on the right foot with Trello. Now that I see how you use Trello I think I'll have to give it another shot. Also, Asana allows you to create projects in a list OR board format. Sometimes before I can make a digital list, I have to make an very messy analog post it notes, move them around into some kind of hierarchy, and THEN I can translate that into a digital list. And if my plans are really grandiose, I usually open Word and make a very long list with lots of subtasks.

I love that you made this video and were honest about your one sidedness but you could have put more effort into showing Asana's features. Asana also has a Board template which is very similar to how Trello looks. Yes Trello looks way more customizable and eye grabbing but the features are the same. I don't think one is better than the other but it is which ever one works with your brain type as you mentioned. Great video!

I use Trello for personal projects and Asana at work. Having used both, I definitely prefer Trello, but both have their advantages and disadvantages

You can have the same interface with Asana. You forgot to point that out.

I love Restyaboard for Project Management. Very good alternative to Trello.

This is not an appropriate video in terms of the comparison. Asana also has the features you showed on Trello. You can move tasks and create templates and move them around in each projects like sticky notes. I have recently started using trello to manage my individual tasks better as one disadvantage with Asana is that the filter options are poor and it doesn't allow you to create a task in your my task section and then add it as a subtask to another template. To be able to do that, you need to go to each task template and open the specific subtask under which you want to add the current subtask. Also asana is not completely flexible in terms of showing all priority tasks on top, or filter tasks basis due date and bring them on top. I would love to know if trello has those options.

if there was a cheap monday.com plan for students I'd totally go for that, simply because of the timeline feature

Trello is good to start and after you switch to Asana that is more professional project oriented
