I had a much earlier version of this model and I still remember how sad I was that I sold it. I cannot believe they are att Generation 9 already, so mine must have been 4 years ago. If you are looking for a great business laptop this is one that needs to be on your radar. Great review Andrew, you touched on all the important points.

Which is the better choice between thinkpad and elitebook in thin and light laptops under $1500.
I need i7 16gb, 4gb graphic minimum

I have the HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 with the i7/32GB RAM/2TB SSD and I have to say the cooling solution is inadequate. The fans ramp up quite often, which forced me to purchase a laptop cooling pad from Thermaltake. Other than that, the build quality is excellent and it is very portable.

Keep up the good work, video and weight wise. I went in a year from 242 to 170. I must watch out since I gain weight in the last 2 months. Now at 177.
I have a HP EliteBook 850 G8 i7-1165G7 32GB RAM 15.6 FHD 16/9 from my work. Very good laptop. Top notch build and material.

Benchmarking... I just got my new Elite Dragonfly G3 (32GB RAM, etc.), and ran a "notebook" comparison against my old Surface Book 2 (16 GB, 13.5" screen). So - running a Jupyter notebook in VSCode (free language Julia) which included loading packages, Just-In-Time compilation, doing some numeric linear algebra, and plotting results. The Surface Book 2 took 11 min 2 sec to finish. The Dragonfly took 2 min 47 sec to finish. Both in battery mode. To me, this is a real-life benchmarking :-).

Is it normal if my HP Elitebook 840 G9 has yellowish color monitor screen? I have turned off light light and calibrated the color. I returned the first laptop and replaced with the new one, the color is still yellowish. My old Elitebook 840 G2 has white color monitor screen. Thanks
