Dassault Falcon 7X / 8X – business jets created by the French Dassault Aviation company at the beginning of the 21st century. The aircraft belong to Dassault's new generation of business jets, which should replace the Falcon 900.
Like their predecessor, they received a classic layout for the family with three engines in the tail. The main achievements of the new generation were an increase in capacity and comfort, as well as a range of about 11,000 km, which classified them as ultra-long-range business jets. At the same time, the Falcon 7X and Falcon 8X retained the advantages of their family: lightness, relative compactness and good takeoff and landing performance, which gives them greater operational flexibility compared to other aircraft of this class.
The Falcon 7X first flew in 2005. Falcon 8X, which took off in 2015, can be considered a deep upgrade of the first plane and is now the main one. About 400 aircraft of both versions have been delivered by 2024. They are used in both private and corporate aviation, as well as in government agencies around the world.

Dassault sure knows how to make beautiful planes. Their Rafale is probably the single most beautiful production fighter jet in the would imo

Happy memories of flying around Saudi Arabia in the early 80s in a Falcon 50 owned by Philips Telecommunications. They had a fleet of Falcons with tail numbers from PH-ILA to PH-ILZ #goodolddays

If I were in the market, which I am not, the question I would ask is about cabin pressurization and relative humidity. In the B787 and the A350, I have found this makes the greatest difference to comfort on long flights.

Thank you for your detailed video. It was helpful. I work in sales for an aviation safety company and don't have a background in aviation. Great primer about the Falcons!

Fantastic video once again! I love that Dassault has not just done it's own thing, but that they have been so successful with it.

Usual whinge from myself, 28.48kN = 6, 400 lbf. 29.9kN = 6, 722lbf.
You had just started to note the pounds force of the engines, too.
The rest of the video is your typical high quality output. Many thanks as always.

I did NOT expect to hear you to say "Air Sarko 1"
Those were some wild years

**switches from usual Red Army choirs to random Edith Piaf tune** Serge Dassault was the most corrupt morun, but he was quite visionnary when going all-in with the business jets. The firm owes him as much as his father's military planes, and both had the gift of creating both gorgeous and remarquable planes. Let's hope the firm can go on by itself, and never be swallowed by Airbus.

It's a thing of absolute beauty
When a G6 is considered sluggish, slow, and flying too low...
Get a Formula One with wings...

While the exterior is smaller than the competition, the interior is larger than in a Gulfstream.

Falcon 8X vs G600 vs Global 6500 :

Cabin height : 1.88m for all
Cabin width : 2.34m vs 2.31m vs 2.41m
Cabin length : 13m vs 13.77m vs 13.18m

Cruise speed : .85 for all
MMO : .90 vs .92 vs .90

8pax range : ~6, 000nm (couldn't find an official number @M.85) vs 6, 600nm for both

But then there are other criteria's : the 8X is known as being the quietest biz jet for example. That say, they're actually all very close in specs.

Yup the 3 engines will be a big matter when compared to the other competitors using only 2 engines. But no doubt Dassault Falcon is considered one of the best and most desired luxurious private jet. Its designed to attract the most wealthy customers IMHO.

About the sponsor: Recent development of marine drones shows that it is an obsolete technology.

Oh It’s beautiful. I like Gulfstreams more, but this Falcon is good

Still my favorite private jet, light, economical, striking, and compact. It's got almost everything for a decent price compared to the competition.

Falcon jets always look funny with their teeny tiny nose gear tires!

Don't understand that 3rd engine - ETOPS - no, for what? Yak40 had it for other reasons...
