You should consider mixing the sugar with honey instead, since honey is an antibacterial agent, as well as moisturizing. I used to use the water and sugar technique and found that I got WAAAY better results with honey!

Thank you so much! I always find that after wearing anything on my lips (lip butters, glosses, lipsticks etc) it always makes my lips feel gross and peely.
