We had the opportunity to get our hands on the incredible Canyon Speedmax, which, if it weren't spectacular enough on its own, is fully customised for the French professional Sam Laidlow. You must see how the engineers tackled the issues of heat and hydration to face the grueling challenge that is Kona 2024! Not only did he come off the bike first, he smashed his own bike course record!

thats amazing that with all the extra hardware its only 10kg. I guess the new iteration will have copper on the wind facing surface to connect inside the pads like a cooling the next generation will have copper cooling fins to guide the wind flow. The pros are riding peak technology, the level of detial is amazing. I am also waiting for motorised straw to the frame bladder

Ok, so Sam Laidlaw broke the bike course record on this awesome bike and in the process of pushing his limits, cooked himself to the point he was no longer competitive in the race and finished 18th. IMO this is a hollow record.

The no full disc rule in Kon has run its course and should be changed. Its become a stupid rule.
