Spirit Lake | Mt. St. Helens Helicopter Tour

Here's a close up of the remains of Spirit Lake that is at the base of te crater when is blew directly at it. The old houses, YMCA summer camps, and ski lodgings here back in the day are now 200 feet below water. The sendiments filled up the lake to the new hieght and left the trees scattered like match sticks. This area is restricted to the public, so if you drop your cell phone out of the plane...oh well!
