We are building a custom gaming PC that is only $300, a price range that is normally very hard to make a gaming rig for. With some deal hunting and the willingness to use some used parts, this system for only $300 will hopefully keep up with consoles!

Don't forget to check FlexiSpot's sales up to 50% off and use my code 'YTB50' to get $50 off on orders over $500

I love the fact that you guys mostly focus builds that most people can afford for gaming without spending 1000s of dollars. Keep up with the good work 👍🏽

just think: in 10 years, someone will do a budget build video with a 13th gen i7

B-roll work looks great in this video! Props to whomever planned and shot that footage!

Total price for the parts used in this video comes to about 321 dollars, as of today. Great deal for what you get, but I would certainly advise anyone who is considering building this for themselves to spend another 50 dollars and get a Ryzen AM4 CPU, AM4 motherboard and DDR4 instead, or an 8th gen or newer Intel CPU with motherboard and DDR4. The 4th gen i7 CPU is bottlenecking this build quite severely in certain titles, like Fortnite.

I just recently built a very similar rig to the one in this video and the 3rd gen Intel i5 CPU I used really let the build down in the end. I wish I had spent 50 dollars more on a better CPU/mobo/RAM combo.

Cool video. It's nice to see how much you can get for $300. How does your $300 PC compare to mine? My PC specs:
MSI Z370-A PRO MOTHERBOARD
i7 8700k
GTX 1060 6GB
16GB DDR4 RAM at 3000MHz
Corsair H100i 240mm AIO cooler
Kediers C570 open air case with 7 fans.
My PC didn't come with the PSU or storage so I took those components out of my old PC. I also bought a 1TB NVME SSD for about $40 so technically I spent $340. I'm happy with the PC since I upgraded from an FX8320 and Radeon 7950 3GB.

Hi, this may seem like a few silly questions, but my child is trying to get into gaming, and I’m trying to be supportive and figured this would be the best place to come ask questions, so if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. ❤
1. Are curved screens worth it?
2. If I only have enough money to get them a screen right now would they be able to watch tv on the screen until I have enough money to start buying more parts for them?
3. Are there swivel mounts that you can hang on the wall for monitors kinda like TVs?
I just want to show support, but don’t have enough saved for their birthday in a few weeks to get everything they’d need for an entire system. Thank you for any help!

I built nearly that exact same system for my little nephews to play fortnite. Only I used a GTX 980 that I had laying around.
We run it on performance mode and it gets around 100 fps. They're totally happy.

That motherboard is currently only £30, so a pretty good deal for here in the UK since it also has free shipping. I have a i7-4770k and a i5-4690k sitting in a drawer. A couple of cheap motherboard and I'd be able to put together a couple of 'e-sports' PCs for people.

Thanks for showing it off.

I was able to get a dell Optiplex tower with a i7 4690 and 16gb already for $95 shipped. If you don't care about the case aesthetic, I think that is a better option.

Love those lower-end builds, perfect for young enthusiasts and budget-minded gamers. I have a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB DDR4 3600, RX5600XT, 1TB boot NVME and 3TB HDD storage in the Cooler Master Q300L (same type of vibe). Also did a low-end sleeper build using an old HP Pentium prebuilt case with a Ryzen 3 3100 and a RX5500XT 4G.

This is basically my bedroom PC, I have a Mini itx board with i7-4790s 16gb of DDR3 1600, 1660 super(6gb) 1tb Sata ssd for storage and a 128gb sata nvme Boot drive, all crammed in a Cooler Master Elite 130. great little system! Does everything i need it to.Ohhh, and it has a Blu-ray drive! hahaah!
People need to stop sleeping on the 1660 super! It's a great 1080p card!

That OEM 1660 SUPER is so loud. But works great. The heatsink on that GPU is bad so the single fan has to ramp up too much just to compensate it.

Nice build guys. I built an i5 4590 16GB DDR3 1600, 1TB SSD Storage/128GB SSD Boot 450W 80+ PSU, RX 570 4GB and a Dell 22" monitor for around $220....

I was not expecting a build at this budget that didn't use integrated graphics, fair play

Nice to see a build with a 4th gen. I have an old 4790 paired with a gtx 970 I've been wanting to upgrade before building a new system at some point. Used 1660 super might be good to hold me over till then
