Lori Vallow trial: Full audio of FBI, Idaho, Arizona investigators & former friend (April 19)

A day after Lori Vallow's only living child took the stand, we heard more testimony from law enforcement officials in the murder trial of the so-called "Doomsday mom" about her suspicious financial moves, among other findings.

Tensions were high on Tuesday when Colby Ryan, the older half-brother of Tylee Ryan and J.J. Vallow, took the stand. Ryan testified that he was blindsided when J.J. and Tylee were found dead on the property of Lori's husband, Chad Daybell.

On April 19, Idaho law enforcement officials testified, as well as an FBI accountant. The prosecution questioned more witnesses about Lori's finances and transactions.

The state has presented money as one of her motives in this triple murder case. We’ve heard about life insurance policies and social security benefits throughout trial, and not just insight into Lori's finances, but her husband Chad Daybell's as well.

Rexburg Police detective Chuck Kunsaitis and FBI accountant Mike Douglass took the stand, laying out the numbers.

Rewind back to July 2019 when Lori’s fourth husband Charles Vallow was shot and killed in Chandler, Arizona by her brother Alex Cox, who is now also dead.

In the months following, Lori would receive social security benefits on behalf of seven-year-old JJ Vallow. Lori was also getting social security on behalf of her daughter Tylee Ryan after her own dad Joe Ryan died in 2018.

Chandler Police detectives and a firefighter also took the stand. They were questioned about the Charles Vallow's shooting. In July 2019, the narrative in Chandler Police's report is that Charles and Lori’s brother Alex got into a fight.

Lori, Alex and even her daughter Tylee claimed that Charles hit Alex in the head with a baseball bat. Alex grabbed his gun and shot Charles twice, claiming self-defense. But, at the time, Chandler detectives found Lori to be calm, smiling and even laughing after she learned of her husband’s death.

A Chandler firefighter also testified, saying there were no signs indicating Alex provided CPR to Charles. He also waited to call 911 about 45 minutes after the shooting as Lori’s drove JJ and Tylee to Walgreens, Burger King and dropped JJ off at school.

Lori was indicted in Maricopa County on one count of conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Charles. The Idaho trial takes priority right now.

Lori bit off her nose to spite her face...all of the assistance her kids were receiving would’ve definitely kept everyone sheltered and fed happily. Now everything is gone...all bc of selfishness and delusional acts and beliefs. It’s so terribly heartbreaking. Prayers for everyone affected by these terrible and disgusting acts. It blows my mind how the police talk about how the reactions of Alex and Lori was as if Charles wasn’t dead, but the fact that the police let Alex go and return to the house is just as crazy to me! He absolutely should have been arrested!! The police dropped the ball BIG time!!

Didn't Lori have an older sister that died years ago. I believe Lori's niece Melanie's mom. I wonder what she died from, and did she have life insurance and if so who received it? Does anyone know? If a suspicious death are detectives going to investigate this death also?

I honestly think she STILL believes she is an instrument of God and this was all His will. If she knew in her heart that she had committed this kind of evil in Jesus Christ's name and that she was led astray by Satan she would be honest and repent. She has zero remorse from what I can see. She still thinks she did God's will. I pray that one day she stands before the Father and gets to see the pain and destruction she and chad have wrought.

After the shooting and murder of her husband that involved her brother, Lori decided the right thing to do would be to take JJ to school and stop at Burger King. Who thinks that way? A complete narcissist who should have been given the death penalty that is who.

Poor Charles I can't imagine at his age having a special needs child and having to raise that child alone but he would have gladly but he had to keep alive and the child without any help from L.E this detective Ynclan offered Lori a victim advocate instead of atleast trying to find out what Charles didn't want her to see on that phone!

I keep thinking how Tylee had her Jeep for just a few months, remembering how happy I was to have my own car and independence and having so much fun with my friends. What a horrible, selfish, evil, greedy mother she is to take those young lives. I will never understand how people like this even exist.
