Aren't you guys supposed to be enthusiasts of the scientific method?  So a single study has one set on findings based on a very limited set of measurements, and you guys use that as definitive evidence to make broad sweeping claims about the nature of the mind and universe at large.  Excuse me, but there are vast droves of data that you are ignoring.  In fact, you are invalidating an entire psychological field of pursuit based on a lone study.  Come on guys, lets be scientists about it!

Interesting you say we don't have a sixth sense, because from what I've heard, any useful definition of "senses" necessitates including many other senses we don't usually consider, including the sense of temperature, sense of pain, sense of time, and the awareness of approximately where our body parts are without having to look at them. So we have at least nine senses, without even having to count any metaphysical ones.

ESP certainly isn't real, but humans do in fact have more than five senses, most notably the sense of balance, the kinesthetic sense, the sense of temperature, and a few others. Granted, that's not what they mean by "sixth sense", but I'm a bit pedantic at the best of times.

I love how they can say that something that they can't prove DOESN'T exist. "We can't actually test for it and have no evidence that it either does or doesn't so we will just say it doesn't!" Science in action folks.

Well, that's just the thing... Even if intuition is "just" something our subconscious mind is picking up on, wouldn't that indicate that the "phenomenon" was a real thing that could be observed? Just because we gain an explanation for something, doesn't make it any less real. This study doesn't actually show that intuition doesn't exist. Rather, it gives a possible explanation why it does.

Truth is we have over 9+ senses, we do have a sixth sense and it's intuition.
Intuition is like when you have a bad dream. Because your brain is telling you something.
So it happens in intuition too, you get a feeling in your stomach or anywhere!
It does exist.

Plus we have other senses like, balance, time passing, pain, urges and more!

Proving that people can pick up on details subconsciously does not prove that ESP does not exist. These guys could benefit from a basic philosophy class. Just because I prove that rats are making sounds in your house that doesn't prove that the sound you're hearing right now isn't a burglar. Someone able to pick up on subtle details subconsciously COULD also be psychic. Hypothetically.
