I'm from Dhaka, Bangladesh and it's so good to see the scientifically literate people of Kolkata talking about the looming danger of climate change and doing authentic research work! The vast quantity of the enormous carbon sink that the Sundarbans is, lies in Bangladeshi coast and unfortunately, our authorities are from being educated, farsighted and caring enough to do something about the fact that we're losing not just Sundarbans but an immense amount of land- that's going to create serious migrant influx!

I am from kolkata and yes the whole population is hell bent on screwing the city. This year we experienced a massive cyclone which shook the city landscape. Future stores unimaginable horror. We must open up to the reality save the sunderbans and save Bengal.
