I agree that having no automotive experience is a negative. Lol I got into the rental car business in the summer of 2021, and I didn’t have much experience with cars and didn’t understand much about them. Well after 9 to 10 months of renting 14 cars out on Hyrecar, I have learned alot about car repairs and the automotive industry. I also learned a lot about collections. I’m looking forward to selling cars. My dealer’s license finally got approved by the state last week. Now I’m just waiting for my dealer plates and my business license from the city. I am very excited about my dealership and not having to depend upon Hyrecar. I will be be doing cash sales, bank financed deals, and buy here pay here financing. I will be transitioning most of my rental cars from Hyrecar to buy here pay here financing. Thanks for your info man! I already took your rental car course and am looking forward to taking the dealership course.

Honestly I started off with floor plans and I built my business just floorplans but I knew what cars to buy and I never had bad impulse buying habits. I’ve kept my flooring line below 30 percent

Thank you Mr Lucky very good information, as usual, I'm sorry about the punctuation but I just talk into this thing. That is right what you said about working somewhere else we had a deal with 3 months recourse and the guy didn't make his third payment so my boss made the third payment for him and he was able to get his check from the finance company lesson learned. the other thing about working at the small places as you can get deals on smog you can get deals on tires deals on bodywork you make all these connections. Just like in the joint you learn who's who in the zoo. We had a guy that used to come in and take all the car titles and take them to the dealer DMV there are so many headaches with the car title paperwork it's good to know somebody who specializes in that. We had another guy his service was smog he'd take the vehicle and bring it back smogged The glass guy comes out and puts glass on the spot. Then there was the head never mind. making those connections is great especially if you're starting out and you're on a budget cuz now you have all these connections. They will work with you

Hey Lucky, Appreciate all the information…. Your videos are so helpful ! I just opened used car lot 5 months ago.. Biggest problem is really hard to find a good deal at the auction, I understand you make the money when u buy a car, not the sale.. Seems like impossible.. Looking the vehicle price fees+transportation+ etc… Comes the same retail price .. I’m so freaking out !!! Do you have any tips or suggestions..The same time trying to buy from private as well.. I feel like now is a right time to ask. I’m extremely talented with my hands and thinking skills, I love painting cars and powder coating random stuff. All my motorcycles get taken apart straight after delivery with less than few miles and I go crazy on painting all the parts.
One thing I wanted to try was buy and either completely restored and or rebuild jdm cars from 90’s to their showroom condition and sell them. Do you think its something I can make money on and sustain in a long term?
