Cleveland has made this type of Smart Sole wedge for years. Less expensive and in lighter graphite if needed.

For someone like me who has not learned the open face sandwedge shot, this looks like something to try.
I have the ChipR and thats so fun to use :)

I thought the driver price was bad. Now we have the highest price for a wedge I've seen. Crazy. Especially for such a specialized club. I think I'll stick with my more versatile wedges.

You can use it as a lob wedge, particularly from rough, the worse the rough the better.

This isn’t meant for a player that’s already good out of a bunker. It’s meant for someone that’s completely hopeless out of one.

The idea behind this club is to set it up like a normal wedge shot…it’s setup for hackers like me that have a difficult time getting out of bunkers…U don’t set it up like a normal sand wedge (having a open face and stance)…this isn’t setup for better players…I can tell that you’re having a problem with this club because you want to go back to the way you would play a bunker shot…I’m waiting for mine to come in…just saying…

Grew up with the Ping Eye 2 irons. currently use the modern eye grind 58* which is a proper spade. But more flexible sole grind.

Please please show me this thing out of deep links bunkers. Testing out of a 2 ft deep saucer isn't telling me anything 🤷‍♂️

The one thing that makes me wonder is…. This is a 64 degree wedge. I think if you were a solid golfer, you could make this work, but something that flat might not get the ball going like a 58 degree Cleveland smart so, e sand wedge.
