For this video, I used research conducted by the BBC World Service polling
Views of India's influence by country the data is from 2017 so there might be some inaccuracies compared to today, however, it was the most reliable source.

Source is in the description since publishing the video. It's a research done by BBC in 2017, old but the only ´reliable´ source on the topic. The video covers not liking, hating and have prejudice towards Indians and India, so the term hate can be interpreted loosely. As an optimist I would like to think that since 2017 this outdated and incorrect view has changed, but I could not find any official numbers on this.

So WHY did I make this video as someone that is actually partly Indian? As many of you know I travel a lot around the world and because people on first instance don't recognize me as being Desi, they are shamelessly honest and give their unsolicited mostly incorrect views of what India is: poor dirty and backwards amongst other things, without ever haven't even set foot in this massive country.

This happened to me in more than a dozen countries. So this is my way to create awareness of seemingly unfounded bias. India the country that my mother calls home, all my family lives and it is a country of many beautiful things. And while India does have some serious challenges to overcome, it is improving day by day. However it seems very few people have a scope of the great things that come out of India. Disliking a country because of diplomatic issues seems to have motivation behind it, without that it feels discriminatory for incorrect and unbalanced views.

Also, the poll groups dislike and prejudice and hate altogether. Basically, the video is a compilation of any kind of dislike towards India or Indian

When it comes the #1 there is obviously a history and a point of tension over Kashmir. Shortly said if that issue would be resolved it would strongly be possible to not even appear on this list.

So hence my reluctance to say anything. Coz what Pakistan, Kashmir and India need is healing.

Nope, not really. As a Turk living in Europe, we dont care about India. Not in Europe, not in Turkey. Its a normal country with good and bad people, we dont have any negative feelings against Indians in general, we are not even neighbours or have conflicts. My girlfriends grandma (also Turkish) loves indian movies (a little bit too much if you ask me). Why would we watch them if we dislike Indians? Makes no sense.

As Ataturk would say: Yurtta sulh, cihanda sul (peace at home, peace in the world).
