Do this part right or you may have problems

When you are replacing intake manifold gaskets on a carbureted small block Chevy, always make sure you block off or restrict the exhaust manifold crossover correctly. Failure to do so can lead to a lot of starting running and driving issues.

Summer time in the desert or winter time in the mountains, both heat cross overs blocked or open, 160° thermostat or 195 it doesn't matter because that iron intake manifold will boil the fuel in any quadrajet any day. A half inch carburetor spacer has always helped greatly.

I can't ever remember putting those things in and I've never had a problem

How's that work when the block is one year, the heads are another year, the intake is aftermarket, and the car isn't even a Chevrolet??
