Notes to help your Vatican experience:
1. Hire a guide to walk with you through the museum. They can share unique information, answer questions you might have and keep you from walking in circles.
2. Break up your visit with a snack or lunch time. There are a few cafeterias throughout the museum routes making this possible. Your feet and your mind will appreciate the break.
3. The grand finale of the Vatican experience is the Sistine Chapel. You and every other person visiting that day (there will be a lot) will want to see the beautiful work inside this Chapel. It is a good idea to prepare your kids for wall-to-wall people and an atmosphere of reverence otherwise known as “quiet”. There is also no photography or recording allowed inside the chapel.

Originally from Charlotte, NC, Nick and I spent the last 15 years building a life together and while what we built was great, we realized it was not exactly what we wanted. We had become complacent and our priorities were all mixed up. After COVID and 2 years of planning and dreaming Nick quit his corporate, insurance job, we sold multiple investment properties, and we decided to travel France for the foreseeable future while homeschool our kids (Everly-10, Smith-8, Lennon-5) and document everything along the way. Now back in Charlotte we are planning our next adventure in life and around the world.

Yeah, a guided tour of the Vatican Museums would have been a good idea.
