Great technique demonstrated here. It's different from a flying an ILS in your conventional GA aircraft but at the same time you can see the similarities in core techniques.

I have a little question :
Are pilots allowed to fly raw data just on downwind and then on base and then turn FD back on once established to have easier guidance?

Thanks for the video. It seems easier to follow the diamonds rather than the bird, but I'm guessing the diamonds wouldn't show in the PFD if the ILS was faulty? Presumably this issue would be on the NOTAMs?
