Grohl has all of the talent and creativity in the world. He has been quietly keeping Rock and Roll valid for a lot of years now.

i used to not like this album as much as the others, but now that i'm older and paying more attention specifically to the riffs on it, I realize this might just be the band's best guitar work. I think aging also brings a different view to the album. Hits me different in my 20s than it did in my teens

This demonstrates his guitar talents better than most other performances. He doesn’t typically do lead and maybe he doesn’t shred, but he’s plenty talented in other ways, especially composing.

Guys, Dave Grohl might be the coolest person to ever live. Actually, I am wrong about that.

He is FOR SURE the coolest person to ever live.

The last sound motif reminds me of dueling banjos : folk, and deep America ..Beautiful!

He can time travel, by playing any of his legendary jams! Right back where he was.
I just discovered The Foo Fighters, mindfully, this year. I'm going on 27 years old.
I'll always remember how this music of his, rekindled, and stoked my very soul, in my lowest, most doubtful moments. Moments that I thought that I was simply an automaton, with no feeling, not willing to go on.

If I ever pick up a guitar, I'm learning some legendary Foo Fighters riffs!.

Who the hell disliked this video? And not only that, HOW could you dislike this video. Dave Grohl is in it for goodness sake.

These are the only two guys to have not been kicked out or leave the band. But then again, you can't have Foo Fighters without Dave Grohl.

This album will always have a special place in my heart.

It was release 6 months before the birth of my son.
I remember me and my wife driving round listening to this album incessantly while she was pregnant.

It was always in the car always being played.

The day my son was born after a difficult labour and one that saw many complications and nearly the loss of both... after all was said and done I had to leave my wife and my new born son reluctantly bit was made to leave and t wo get some much needed rest and go home tell everyone the good news.

It was around 3am as I left the hospital an ambulance was in front of me my stereo was turned down low must have done this in the excitement of getting my wife to hospital being told some instruction by the wife...

As I turned up the volume the the strain of the piano came over the speakers and to this day still fucks me up whenever I hear it, especially when my son played this to me one particular father's day.

Because all I wanted was to be home with my wife and son but I couldn't stay.

Anyway...

Wish I were with you, but I couldn't stay
Every direction leads me away
Pray for tomorrow, but for today
All I want, is to be home

Stand in the mirror, you look the same
Just looking for shelter, from the cold and the pain
Someone to cover, safe from the rain
And all I want is to be home

The echoes and silence, patience and grace
And all of these moments I'll never replace
No fear of my heart absence of faith
And all I want, is to be home
Ooh

All I want, is to be home

People I've loved, have no regrets
Some might remember, some might forget
Some of them livin', some of them dead
And all I want, is to be home
