Water in fuel.... Have you tried draining or changing the fuel filter yet? That is where the sensor is.

Well of course the bottle is their property…. It’s literally THEIRS and they need to keep it to help another customer! ☺️
Time to change dealership Sir…
Thank you for the update.

The trailer light pulsing you are getting is an anti theft setting. When locked, the truck puts a minimal amperage out the 7-way to see if the trailer is still there. If someone were to attempt to steal the trailer and disconnect the 7-way, the vehicle alarm would activate.
I believe there is a setting in the main screen to turn it on or off.
LED lighting doesn’t require much output so it can cause flickering. Standard halogens don’t have the same issue.
I have trailers with both so I had to do some forum digging to figure this out.

I really appreciate your communication style and how you articulate the good and the bad. Your experience shows. All the best with the water/fuel and electrical draw concerns.

Love the Truck King! I love their no bull attitude but they’re also super friendly people.

Hey Howard, nice video.
Next time you get a CEL, just call onstar. They will email a copy of the diagnosis with codes for the records.
Also for the multipro tailgate, If you hold down the inner tailgate button for 4sec's, the computer will disable the button so that we can prevent dropping it onto the hitch, accidentally. Don't ask how I came to know...

I picked up my first Chevy I’ve been driving Ford F150’s the last 10 years. Software issues, oil leaks, 10 speed tranny issues. Nothing super serious but frustrating. Decided to go to a HD for the same reasons you did. I wasn’t loyal to Ford and a my dealer gave me 10 K off MSRP on a 2500 Z71 LTZ Duramax with standard bed. Had to replace the brake controller as it would disconnect the brakes on my Rv. There’s a bulletin for that. I’ve experienced the same tail light issue on the trailer you mentioned with the lights and engine off, and I still get warnings about checking the turn signals if I idle in park duty a minute or two. The problem goes away after running the turn signals twice when the trailer is connected. Love the Duramax so far. It’s my first diesel. All in all, so far, so good for me too. I’ll say 95% satisfied.

The pulsing of the lights is to let you know that the alarm feature is active. If someone was to unplug your trailer and try to steal it, the truck alarm would go off.

I bought a new ‘22 Duramax 2500. Had a def heater burn out, had a leaky radiator and water pump replaced under warranty. 66000 km on the clock and seems solid now. I love these trucks they tow like there is nothing behind you. Hope yours gets sorted out.

Thanks for the vid!

Maybe get a FASS filter or Air Dog system regarding bad fuel.

Allot of transit transport guys like em where their filling at all kinds of diesel stations across the nation and not able to control where their fueling all the time.

I leave my hitch in. Got rear ended a few years ago. The guy hit his brakes, nose dived and his front bumper hit my hitch directly. His bumper and nose was destroyed and my damage was almost nothing. Hitch and frame took the energy, both were ok. The dealer is lying to you with the def fluid in gas tank. Go somewhere else but not before reporting his name on social media. Good video.

I find it amusing at how we, as a society, have lowered our standards. We accepted the fact that we are receiving sub par products, sub par service, and "normal" failures. It's become acceptable for dealerships to default to saying it's "bad fuel" or "DEF in the fuel". Noises are normal. All at insanely increased prices while dealerships and manufacturers report record profits every year! I'm no different than anyone else. Paying insane prices and bringing sub par products.
I hope you get some resolve from Oshawa. You are lucky to have that card in your back pocket. You and your son make great videos, and informative content. I agree, that if it were DEF in the fuel since Jan '24 the CP4 fuel pump would have failed and injectors probably seized by now. Would be interested to know what dirty work the stealership was trying to pull.

My 2022 dually and now my 2024 3500 SRW do the LED light flicker. No issue and some have explained it already. My neighbor even commented when I had the rig parked out front over night :)

I have the same vehicle with a short box and have a hard time parking it :-) That really ticks me off that they wouldn't relinquish the bottle to you and I can only imagine what they would've charged you to drain the tank.

I despise dealerships. They are professionals at robbing you blind.

Glad you mentioned the downside of long wheel base. It's great for towing, but bad for turning. Seven point turns are not fun but there are always trade-offs.

Sounds like your dealer SM was scamming you and you called him out. Many dealers are scum of the earth no matter the manufacturer.

I have the exact same issue with my trailer lights flashing when the trucks off and parked. I have a 2024 High Country Dually. I’ve got four different trailers I use regularly and the issue is present with all my trailers. I’m excited to see what the resolution is for this issue.
