In this video you will learn how to convert a recurring decimal into a fraction. The dots mean that these digits get repeated. So in example 1 you need to convert 0.2*3* into a fraction. First of all let x = 0.232323... Now multiply both sides by 10 to dive 10x = 2.32323... Now multiply by 10 to give 100x = 23.232323... Now the numbers after the decimal point in the first equation match the numbers after the decimal point in the third equation. If you subtract these equations away you get 99x = 23. Finally solve this equation to give x = 23/99.
