Lecture_16_1: Construction of Solutions for Spherical Transmission Lines and Cavities

In this lecture, we will start a new chapter from our textbook for this course written by Prof. C. A. Balanis.
Till now, we have constructed solutions for various modes which can explain wave propagation inside rectangular waveguides, microstrip lines, stripline, etc. when we covered Chapter-8. In Chapter-9, we solved cylindrical waveguide with circular cross-section and extended our discussion to structures like, coaxial cable, Fiber optical cable, Dielectric Resonating cavities, Dielectric Resonating antennas, and various Horn antennas.
In today's lecture, we will start Chapter-10 which focuses on Spherical Transmission Lines and Cavities. We will construct the solutions in this lecture and apply them to various geometries in the next lecture.
