🚨URGENT: Traumatized Mastiff’s Mouth & Legs Duct Tapped Together Before He Is Tied To A Tree & Left To Suffer The Most Cruel Fate

We are absolutely devastated by this revolting case. How some humans can be so cruel and vile is beyond us. Who could do something like this? Who could intentionally cause so much suffering, inflict so much pain, and without an ounce of remorse? This poor boy is so terrified that he growls when we near him, trembling in the corner. We cannot fathom the abuse he endured before he was dumped in a dangerous park as though his well-being meant absolutely nothing.

As the winter weather turned to an icy chill, temperatures so cold that they shudder you to the bone, a horrifying sight revealed itself. Deep within a park infamously known for the animal cruelty that takes place there, a Mastiff's muffled whimpers were carried off by the still air. Bound and abandoned, his mouth and legs were taped tightly, leaving him vulnerable and in extraordinary pain. Tethered to a tree by the very tape that restrained him, he cried pitifully, his belly gnawing with hunger. When a passerby noticed him, he rushed to the dog’s aid, freeing him from the tightened tape and rushing him to the local fire station, where animal control was swiftly called.

Animal control raced to save this suffering boy straight away, gingerly coaxing the Mastiff into their care before transporting him to the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control center. But poor Brutus, as he was later named, was terrifyingly scared. It was clear, within his sorrowful eyes, that he had been treated horrifically and for so long. With a painful head tilt and suffering from severe ear infections, he was immediately put on pain and infection medication. The extent of his neglect and complete disregard was sickening. Shaken, this 95-pound boy quivers when staff near him, growling in defense. It will take a long time to help him trust humans again, but we don’t blame him.

We are doing everything we can to acquire enough funds and resources to transport Brutus into our care. The veterinary team at the shelter is working round-the-clock to mend this boy, both physically and emotionally, but he will do well in a cozier environment and a proper diagnosis to ensure there are no neurological complications at hand. We want to provide this pup with a beautiful new life, free from pain or mistreatment. He deserves to know what it feels like to be loved and cared for. Don't you agree?
