This is No Man's Sky, an indie space discovery game brought to us by Hello Games. In this episode we continue our exploration trail only to realize that some of our specialists on our freighter aren't exactly helping out the way they should. This is okay because we have a base we can go to in order to accomplish these missions, but it would sure be a lot easier if we could just do them on our capitol ship. At least our farmer is nice!

==========================================

No Man's Sky is a game about exploration, trading, survival (kind of), crafting, mining and a lot of discovery. Here every corner of the universe is ripe for exploration and discovery using the latest in science fiction enhancements and technologies. Lifeforms of every imaginable type and intellect both hinder you and help you at every interaction.

At the core of the game is freedom, the freedom to do what you want and when you want to do it. This massive procedurally generated universe is literally just waiting for you to interact with it to decipher alien languages, food chains in planetary ecosystems, and greater mysteries unknown to even the greatest of explorers.

Your digs are so neat and beautiful. I’m jealous, mine... I just dig and get all the metal. 😂

You've probably figured this out by now, but copper is the worst chromatic metal and activated indium is the best
Coper=2:1
Activated Cu=1:1
Cadmium=1:1
Activated Cd=1:2
Emeril=1:2
Activated Emeril (fake element)=1:3
Indium=1:3
Activated In=1:4
Your best bet is to set up a small base near an activated indium deposit and use that autonomous miner dohickey to get a near infinite supply of the stuff

Edit: fixed ratio mistake

I had been wondering what the point of having a base on a planet is. As you travel you get keep getting further away from your base. That's why I thought ship bases were they way to go.

You could build a base computer that you keep in storage on your exocraft or something. That way you can pull it out and set it down so you can access the archives for that quest, then pick it back up and put it back in storage.
Also, I would assume the game was just not letting you talk to your scientist because you confused the quest by selling the Convergence Cube, but the game maybe doesn't have the ability to remove that checkmark from the questlog.

You can create a farming freighter, and take your farm with you everywhere you go;))

I think you need to delete the work stations at your original base, then you'll be able to interact with the ones on your ship
