Just finished an arbi where we had 2 frosts, a wisp and me as equinox nuke. We made it to round 50 without even trying. So nice to see older frames get the love they deserve!

if you guys havent tried it. throw on thermal sunder onto frost. you full armor strip into thermal sunder cooks enemies. one of my favorite builds for him.

[This is a bit of an ember rant on a frost video, i know]

Frost was already insanely good, its kinda funny how they made this augment scale with his armor but ember's now only gains overguard when overhealing (which is already technically worse than frost had, since if enemies got past your shieldgate, and youre actively taking health damage one cast could just not grant you enough health to go into overguard, not likely but still possible), less overguard overall (25-50 vs frost's 60), AND does not scale with armor. And overall ember just feels bad to play because her 4 does literally nothing to higher level enemies unless you use heat inherit (which is now harder because she spreads weak heat procs around a lot with her abilities).
So frost gets stuff that he didnt even honestly need and ember is just left out there despite getting "reworked". The current changes to ember only really helped with energy economy but did not address bigger issues with her abilities, which if you're a veteran you would just have had nourish on her anyway so you barely notice. All i can think of for her 4 to be good is to give it similar properties to saryn's spores, where with each tick of damage it adds more heat procs onto the burning enemy. Also not a fan of her strength passive, because the enemies should not be on fire around ember, they should be dead. So if you take ember into a mission where she actually kills enemies, you dont even really benefit. I think they need to rework this and other passives that work like it into the same system as duviri decrees where you get armor for each corrosive proc for x seconds, which would work nicely even if you kill enemies, you just have to apply heat.

So, basically, ember needs her 4th buffed in some substantial way, since casting it actually slows your time to kill vs using literally any decent weapon. Her 2 and 3 are fine at best, armor strip does have some value but it is way too easy to get it in other ways, and damage reduction on yourself is always good. Her 1st ability is a literal joke and needs either a huge number tweak or to be replaced entirely... even the augment sucks since you can just use thermal transfer instead (on any frame mind you since it's helminth). They could really do something more than even tweaking the numbers with her because she gets a lot of heat procs that she doesnt get to do much with. Maybe she could detonate them, heal the entire team from enemies on fire, something more interesting than just spreading weak heat procs around enemies and calling it a day.

Shard Recommendations as a frost main: 3 tau forged blue gives you 3 full casts, a freeze and a roar, and 2 tau forged yellow cause the 4 takes too long to cast. I personally prefer Zenoric for the free ability cast though, but that’s about all I use it for so I can definitely see the preference going to Madurai or Zenoric.

Have you done a video on the Verglas sentinel weapon? With contagious bond and a rhino roar, mine can kill a room of 130 steel path heavy gunners completely by itself. I use viral heat

For energy, try running Health Conversion and Arcane Battery instead of Equilibrium and Arcane Energized. It's easier to get and more consistent. As long as youre freezing things, which is always, youll have up to 700 max energy. And Health Conversion gives you more armor which scales up the amount of overshield you'll get from your 4.

I feel like that one sentinel that pulls people together you could use him and then have it go for a cold proc set up so you can already have Cold procs going and then do cold contagion on his weapon to help spread your cold procs.

Full umbra, battery augment plus storm augment and 2 red taus feels the best way to play him right now for me, if I don't upkeep his storm enough it doesn't matter cause I'm still at base 90% something strip before storm procs

Frost has been my go-to for years, very interesting to see how other people mod him. I go full range + efficiency with precision intensify, as long as you're fully armor stripping, thats all the strength I feel like you need.

More enemies hit by avalanche, the better, i can just spam cast to build overguard and prime for damage
