Guys, today’s video is completely unscripted and a little bit different. I was sorting through my shoes deciding what I need to keep and what I need to donate, so I thought I’d grab the camera and show you some of my shoe collection. *Yes, shoe trees have been purchased.

Thank you for this post. I’m an 80 year old that still cares about how I dress. I have really learned to search for vintage high quality clothes. Your shoe collection let me know that you are an average class man that enjoys looking well. You shop where most of us shop. I just can’t do 4 and 500 dollar shoes. And at my age they don’t need to last 20 years. Keep up the fine post

For black, you can't go wrong with the Allen Edmonds Park Avenues.

I'm 59 years old and I like your style. Get some shoe trees. It will keep your very nice collection looking fresh. It takes out that crease near the ball of the foot.

Ty for the comment section! I'm doing research on Black Friday deals for cedar shoe trees.

Cedar shoe trees are a MUST! Also, proper cleaning and polishing after EVERY wear is crucial in maintaining a new(er) look for years to come. UNKEPT shoes KILL THE OUTFIT, bro!!!

Staying home. NOW I'm coming back with black Chinos and brown wingtips. THANKS 😊

Hi to give some info from Britain - the 2nd pair you refer to as Chukka's in the UK are called desert wellies or desert boots - they were initially designed by a UK company called Clarks for desert warfare in WW2 - they still make them . The gummy soles are called crepe soles in the UK. They are considered a design classic in the UK.

Polish and shoes trees

Have to say, cork bed shoes are fantastic. Your feet basically make a custom made inner sole over time.

Black dress shoes: Loake, Trickers, Churches, all made in the UK from around 275-600 dollars. Anything made in Northampton should be good.

First the shoe you really need is a pair of Oxfords. A must have for a gentleman. Edmonds, Magnani, Paul Evans, Lotusse, Loake, Ace Marks, Meermin, there many brands. I like british dor my more classy shoes and Italians or Spanish for my more casual ones.
You also may go for whole cuts, goes with everything and all occasions. And a black double monkstraps is also a must have.
There are two more shoes I would recommend you to have in black. A chukka dress shoe and a chelsea. The Judhpur is a very nice option boot.
I have them all except the black whole cut, instead I have the Oxford. Good luck

Church or Cheaney are my go-to black shoes. Edward Green and John Lobb are perfection

Agree that you need more pairs of shoe trees - you also need some decent polish!!!l

Maybe try Grenson, Barker or Loake for black dress shoes.

I'm ALWAYS in dress shoes, unless I'm fishing at the lake or doing yardwork. On dress shoes I think you could certainly use a pair of oxblood or dark burgundy. A pair in olive green would give you more earthtone range. You could also expand to a sharp pair of two-tone spectators, but I'm not sure if you'd find yourself putting them to use.

I'm obviously late but if you haven't tried them and want new shoes I'd say you definitely should be checking out some of the Spanish brands like Carmina and especially TLB Mallorca, they're just stunningly made

Your shoes are screaming for shoe trees! Your shoes need to be sharp or else it defeats the purpose of having a lot of shoes and spending so much on shoes

Great video and great advice. For someone like myself that’s really plain and simple, I have very few shoes. But that’s just me. I have 1 pair of an everyday shorts or jeans shoe, 2 pairs of an office “casual Friday” (black & brown), 1 pair of running/workout shoe, and 2 pairs of dress shoes (black & brown) that will go with any formal occasion. When a shoe wears out I replace it with another one that fits in my wardrobe. I spend a a lot of time finding one shoe that is my style for every occasion.
