I like Florida. You can drive on I 10 in Florida from Pensacola to Jacksonville. Tallahassee has capital circle on I 10 from exits 196 to 203.

I'm writing this during the Covid pandemic, so a lot of things are on pause, but Tallahassee has a great live music scene, cultural events, college sporting events, restaurants, arts scene, beautiful parks and trees, etc.

Everything mentioning St. Marks isn't in Tallahassee. If we're talking about regional, there's tons of hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, boating, beaches, etc. Wakulla Springs is the fourth largest springhead in the world and open to swimming and boating and is less than 30 minutes out of town. Leon Sinks has great hiking and some of the largest sinkholes in the state, which is cooler than it sounds since they're basically giant vertical cave-mouths.
