One of the two roommates who survived the brutal Idaho quadruple murders has asked the court if she can pass on testifying at suspect Bryan Kohberger’s preliminary hearing in June. The accused student murderer allegedly stabbed four University of Idaho students to death in November — Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie has the latest details.

This case is so weird. There is something huge we aren't being told. Something that makes all this make sense.

Everyone, better testify. The murdered students need justice.

Something's off with these girls... Not calling for help is a huge red flag

I think she should have to testify. Obviously she has information on why 911 wasn’t called until almost noon. If she didn’t hear or know anything it shouldn’t have taken more than one interview with police. Either way she was there and we don’t know whether she was asleep or not.

She was there. She has to testify. Get justice for your roommates!!

She was present at the murder scene. She would certainly have been called to testify even if she didn't know anything. If the prosecution are not intending to call her, even just to say yes i was asleep, it's because they don't want the jury to know something. What it is we don't know yet. The fact the defense has called her is very interesting and even more so that she is fighting it. It doesn't matter who called her as she'll get questioned by both, but its interesting that prosecution didn't.

I feel as though DM is a bigger part of the case than BF, but they both should have to testify. Regardless of they’re age or what they personally want. Nobody wants to stand infront of an accused murderer who took anyone’s life. Family members have to testify, a friend should most definitely testify especially if she was present during the murders. She might’ve heard something too but brushed it off since the house was often quite active. We all want to know, and I’m sure the court does too. She’s no exception whatsoever.

Why wouldn't she want justice for her friends? Seems really odd..

It's tough to testify but she got this! No one said it'll be easy.

Am I hearing this correctly? She’s being subpoenaed by the defense as a witness for the defendant? No wonder she doesn’t want to testify in defense of the man accused of murdering her friends!

Kinda ironic that the document arguing to excuse her and referring to a misspelling of her name, misspells the defendant's name (Kohburger?)

THEY WANT HER TO TESTIFY FOR THE DEFENSE?!?

So they want her to testify on behalf of the...defendant? That makes no sense to me. If that's the case, I wouldn't want to tesify either. Four of her roommates, her friends, were viciously murdered. Why would they expect her to WANT to testify on behalf of this monster?

Nope sorry she should testify. Both should, this is ridiculous. They were there

Please note:
-The roomate being supboaened is NOT the roomate who witnessed the masked man in the house, heard the crying, did not call for medical help, and waited 8 hours to call the police. This is the *other* one, who slept on the first floor.
-Both roomates are blessed to be alive.
How do you square them not doing everything possible to make sure justice is served for their friends?
-If the roomate's issue with testifying is that she has been supboeaned by the defense, she could have explained that she is already planning to testify for the prosecution. That is clearly not the issue.

She should be able to testify from another room, she's probably scared

With the way everyone treated her after it happened I don’t blame her for not wanting to be out there like that.

That’s gotta be a tough decision! She’s probably terrified of Kohberger but at the same time she has to be brave for her friends’ memories and speak on their behalf. She’s gotta be traumatized

I read many stories now that the defense is saying they've called her to testify because information she knows could turn the whole case around, in favor of Kohberger. If that is true I really want to know what they have. This of course could be them just talking tough, to produce more doubt and confusion, but they certainly have something they feel quite relevant to even subpoena her and to say her words will change the outcome of the whole case.

People need to stop excusing her not to testify due to trauma etc, . If kids and teenagers can testify after being shot at in classrooms living through horrendous injuries, so can she.
