A very first look at one of the derelict barns I plan to restore that is next to my house in Cornwall! It's a very old listed building which needs complete renovation - I have a lot to learn and a lot of restoration work to do!

The more I see of this place, the more I think you’ve hit the jackpot. There’s too much talk about terrifying and daunting projects: as long as you can keep things ticking over, I think you should remind yourself that you have time to sort things out, not everything has to happen immediately, you can improve bit by bit. Very happy for you, this is such a great place.

Surely an apt name for what you call the kennel building, would be The Wendy House 👍👌

Kennels is a good name, or you could call it The Dog house, then you can put folk up and say your in the dog house. 😂
Your joy and excitement is infects.

Lord bless you Dominic, you have a great vision for your place, and I have to remember when I was your age, I had your energy too. I'm now 80 and running out of steam so I wish you all the best and good luck from Ireland

Love Wendy. Dom you should of placed cardboard on the bottom of the bed, then the compost. The grass and unwanted plants can now grow through the soil 🫣

The look of delight on your face when you’re talking about your buildings just confirms that you’re the right custodian of that lovely place.

RIP Porsche - Dom just found 350 years worth of new projects 🤣I'm happy to watch anything and everything Dom! Bonus points if you ever make a video giving Jon a haircut.

Perfect way to start the day. An empty beach and a dog with a tennis ball! Those outbuildings are just fabulous. Oozing past history and just begging for someone to breathe the life back into them. This will be such a challenge Dom but my goodness, what rewards await you at the end of the journey.

Hello Dom... This is Jack in Oregon. I am so glad you did not make two channels and I am so glad that you are showing us all around your new location. You will have time in the future to work on your cars and other projects. But now is the time to do some basic fixing up of some of your buildings. I enjoy watching all of it. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us.

Domenic - So much fun watching your excitement over the possibilities for your barns. You are the perfect person to own/restore this beautiful space. Can’t wait to see your progress…

Dom. When I was in vocational agriculture in high school, in 1974, we had a Massey 35 Deluxe. I learned to drive on my grandpa's 1941 Farmall A, which my cousin has now in Missouri and has been restoring. I graduated in 1977 in agri-industrial diesel mechanics, went straight into US Navy and by Dec that year was a Navy jet engine mechanic. Love watching your vids, Repair Shop and here. God bless from this Ohio Navy veteran. Enlisted 49 years ago this November 11th.

Dom. I recommend you move the entire Repair Shop team to your new ‘project’. All that talent, you’d turn those buildings around in no time at all😀Keep the vlogs coming. Great stuff👍

Cornwall is full of many talented people, one thing lacking is small affordable workshops, art studio, metal artists, candle makers, etc etc etc!.. planning would be easier and cheaper to turn into workshops than accommodation, you could also put a few shephards huts to rent out, just putting the idea out there, and welcome to Cornwall

I might suggest that if anyone is planning to do a raised bed, please place a layer of tight weave chicken wire or something of that kind, on the grass before you fill up the bed. This will keep moles and voles out of your veg. Additionally, I would recommend putting down a layer of cardboard to prevent all that grass from growing up too quickly. THEN place your soil in. Good luck out there. DA

The more I see of this property, the more I think - this needs to be a TV programme called “Escape to Dom’s Farm House”…
