I've been using a Tubemeister 18 combo for a few years and I totally love it! The new heads look amazing too . . . maybe time for an upgrade. MIDI control is definitely going to open up a bunch of possibilities, especially with the ES-8. One of the projects I play in is an electro-pop thing where we use Ableton, which means there will be a point where theoretically I don't have to touch the pedals at all—can send PC messages to and thru the ES-8 from Ableton and switch everything from patches to additional assign switches to the amp . . . I will attempt to do a video once up and running!

The "56" you saw was preset "56". It comes with preset sounds using the built in effect that you can tweak and dial in to your liking on the amp

While I love all the features on this amp, as someone who restores amps, the fact that it has so many in such a small head scares me to death xD These are amps that always have to go back to the manufacturer when broken, while things as a Marshall or fender are quite easy to work on :) Once played a H&K because my own amp broke down mid rehearsal and I have to say, amazing cleans !!

Resonance is basically the bass version of the presence knob ( where the presence knob controls treble frequencies) :)

Can't wait to hear it in a track. I'm not sure how to feel about built on noise gates, but I guess you can just turn them off. Looks neat, nice of them to put bias adjustment on the back.
