It is credited with popularizing location-based and AR technology, promoting physical activity, and helping local businesses grow due to increased foot traffic. However, it attracted controversy for contributing to accidents and creating public nuisances. Various governments expressed concerns about security, and some countries regulate its use. By early 2019, the game had over a billion global downloads, grossing over $3 billion in revenue. The game also had over 147 million monthly active users as of May 2018.

Great event. Takes pressure off Mega Gallade event finding good IVs. Get the Mega energy, and then focus on this event. Hoping our community comes out in the cold, and able to find 100% IV.

Have all the Gardevoir and Gallades I need both shadow and regular. Mostly going after the shinies. That said, still looking forward to it simply because I like the shiny hunt and bonuses.

Honestly I don't think I've ever gotten a shiny from the tickets whether it was $1 or not. i have purchased a few here and there over the years pending how much I liked the pokemon. I also have very high standards at this point in my game play. I want either PVP IV's which you won't get from the ticket, or I want 91% and up. I constantly wind up getting barely 3* pokemon from the tickets. I get better IVs from wild catches and field research. The main positive is the extra dust from those tickets. That is fairly generous. Don't let my bad IV luck sway you one way or the other but be prepared you may be paying for just some extra dust. Which everyone needs in this game. So there's that

I love Gallade! That shiny is so nice looking. The one and only shiny Ralts I have is a shadow shiny. Horrific IV’s, but it looks really awesome. I can’t for the Gallade raid day

It’s -10 to -18 degrees in Ontario this week. I go out for my normal two hour walks. And can’t stay out for more than 30 minutes without my hands and toes starting to freeze up. Niantic gotta reschedule some of these events 😢
