Lol putting a sock on just after a broken foot is probably the scariest thing ever.

Watching this in my 3rd week of a cast, and dreaming of my boot so I can fully wash my foot! This broken ankle thing sucks ☹️

THESES GUYS ARE GOLD!!! LISTEN TO THEM! My surgeon knew nothing about correct brace, or correct exercises to decrease pain,
these doctors are GOLD!!! I work in health care. I know ! BLESS THEM!!!

Just got one of these post surgery, a bit of pain because the incision areas are still a bit swollen but doc says all good. Can’t wait to start getting some pressure on the foot in about 4 weeks here

I had the boots on for abt 7 weeks. I used a couple kitchen towels/papers to line the part where the foot goes and baby powered the heck out of my foot and calves. Then change the towels + wetwipe my foot at least once a day! That prevents the gross smells and dead skin build ups.

Been walking on a broken ankle for 2 months now without knowing and just got a big ol’ boot today and was watching to make the bottom of the foot feel better and this helps. Thanks!

The compression sock has been so helpful! My calf would start to swell after a couple hours in the cast and was so unconfortable causing me to take off the cast, or noncomplient as you docs say. Now so much better.

Thank you so much. Pretty sure my foot is broken and can’t get into doc for a week. Had the boot from a previous sprain but forgot how to use it. Super grateful. 😊

Woof putting the compression sock over my broken ankle for the first time was so painful and scary. I was convinced the snug fabric would just rip up my ankle and scar. But honestly once i got used to it, i was much happier. Also the air in my airboot took FOREVER to figure out and get used to! Thanks for the info ut helps alot

Funny and factual at the same time! I've been in my boot for a week now.Despite the pain, I'm still cutting my lawn and moving things up and down the stairs.A MRI revealed that I have some kind of stress fracture, but won't know the specifics until Monday when I see the doc. I'm hoping like hell I won't need a cast, and that I can put a bit on weight on my foot.Yes I want this to heal, so I will be less active during this time....

So helpful! My doc had me add an arch support. Perfect for getting a better fit.

I wish I saw this when I first got my boot. I haven’t walked in almost 6 weeks. Today I find out if I can finally start walking in my boot

Thanks so much for this! I just got my boot and after 30 minutes I could feel my high arch start hurting. So I got lucky and yours was the first video I watched and BOOM! There was my answer about the insert. I bought a short boot before I saw my surgeon, but have ordered the tall one that he also recommended. Hopefully it will fit. Keep up the videos. I'll be back for more as my surgery for anterior tibula tendon rupture gets closer.

Thank you! This video made me laugh and also provided some great points! I didn't think about an insert! I fell from 25 feet and broke/fractured both ankles amongst multiple other injuries. Fortunately, the right wasn't as bad as the left. I had an ORIF performed to secure the calcaneus and talus, but my navicular bone is still angry at me so I'll have to go in for more repairing. I bought a short boot at first and wore that until my surgeon recommended the tall. Since I've swapped, my ankle feels much more stable and the air pocket is fabulous for sustaining the position of my leg and foot. Although some say it seems terrifying to wear a compression sock, it's been quite helpful and comfy since the increase in swelling after my pin removal. What a huge difference! Not only with the swelling, but also with the inside of the boot getting funky. Yuck. My knee scooter has been great but I'm wondering if I should wear the boot with the iWalk?! Balancing on it makes me really nervous! Thank you again for sharing your knowledge! Here's to another surgery or and then RECOVERING! :)

Thank you for your videos. I’ve learned more from you than my orthopedic doc. I think he thinks I’m smarter than I am. I’m a 70 yr female with 3 metatarsal stress fractures. I was given the big boot 3weeks ago and I still have foot pain when I walk. Not as bad on the boot, but I hate the boot and find myself not wearing it more than 3-4 hrs daily. I’m retired and mostly at home. I wear Brooks Ghosts Sneakers when out of the boot or to run a few errands. I really like your suggestion about the compression sock. At my age I’m concerned about the high boot impacting proper calf circulation and creating clots. Thanks:)

Great! I like the idea of putting an insole in it to help it be more comfortable as well!

I've got a torn achilles, so no weight bearing at all right now. I have ice cream legs and am wearing a short boot. This video still helped even though I didn't break any bones, . . . you actually had me at your knee scooter intro because crutches kinda suck.
