I’m a born and raised Alaskan who has spent my entire life on the side of a mountain and I have seen one lynx throughout my decades in the woods. I have seen their tracks in the snow but you never see these cats unless they want you to see them.

When I was a kid we had an older barn that we didn't use for horses anymore. It was at the far end of the property and didn't see people that regularly. It wasn't abandoned, it was just used for equipment and feed storage at that point. Since there was nothing much to spook it away there was a bobcat that started coming out of the woods to hunt around it and sometimes in it. It was an open front barn with a 16 foot loft. One morning I went in the barn to get something and we surprised each other. I never saw him up there, but he came out of the dark up in that loft full of hay bails and hit the ground next to me with a hard thump I could feel though my boots. Hay and mud flew everywhere and he was gone in a couple of seconds. I'd seen this animal a couple of times previously and he was big for a bobcat. Maybe 30lbs would be my guess. Even so, the power and speed in it's movement's during this were pretty amazing. Far beyond anything you'd see from a house cat or a dog. He chose escape instead of violence on this occasion and I don't think there would have been much I could have done if he'd decided I was a threat. I was caught completely by surprise and I feel like at the least I would have needed some major medical attention if I'd gotten in the way. I never just casually strolled in there again and had a new appreciation for how badass wild cats are, even the smaller ones.

The best thing about tjis cat is that he's Fearless and so agressive he's a savage he can figght bigger animals like cougar he can fight multiple animals at the same time he's fast af fadt Refelexs don't ever underestimate him
