Lighthouses in Brittany have been automated in the past decades and La Jument itself hasn't had a keeper since 1991.

This is all completely false. That photo was taken from a helicopter just before the lighthouse was made automated. It was not a rescue. The keeper heard the helicopter and popped his head out to see what was happening. Not realising the massive wave was about to hit when he stepped out he made it safely back inside. As for the million dollars, thats an absolute joke. Lighthouse keepers would have made a tenth of that at best and there would have been an application list as long as you could imagine for these jobs as a lot of people love the seclusion of it. This lighthouse is also completely automated and run off solar power now. Stop with the BS clickbait nonsense.
