IOJAFIJOASJ IT HAS BEEN AGES. since I finished the Firestar animatic. BUT I FINALLY FINISHED THE LEAFPOOL ONE. Only one more to go and I'll be done with this series oh my god 😩 I know this one's pretty bad but honestly I'm just proud to have finished it, which I usually just Won't when I'm bored of a project because it can be physically difficult for me to do it sometimes. BUT I DID IT THIS TIME AND I'M SUPER HAPPY ABOUT IT. Have fun trying to make sense of this animatic I am DONE

I animate/draw using procreate and edit using final cut pro. My frame rate is 6 or 12, but I tend to speed it up in editing.

A: That means I haven't seen it! Don't be afraid to keep bugging me about it until I respond - if anything, I'll appreciate it! I love how this shows how StarClan encouraged LeafPool to follow her heart and have kits with CrowFeather, then as soon as the kits were born, went back on their word and forced her to give them up to SquirrelFlight. It really shows how messed up StarClan can be.

i can’t get over the scene where the starclan cat walks away only for a spotlight to appear in the clouds right on leafpool! you can really feel the betrayal and i love it

That scene in Squirrelflight’s Hope where they were confronted with Starclan and Leafpool stood up for both of them, such a strong character moment. Starclan screwed her over, and we’re such hypocrites (Bluestar?? Yellowfang??)

No one, NO ONE, was fucked over by Starclan more than Leafpool. Remember how she was told she will have "a life different from other medicine cats" and it turned out to be, what? Getting punished for Starclan's bias and lack of inner communication? She really deserves her "Defying Gravity" moment! I like to think that she creates a third afterlife option for cats to go, and quite a few Starclan cats go with her; some of the Dark Forest cats do, as well. Feathertail is Glinda in my heart, For Reasons.

Oh Leafpool, you've truly been through so much! Loved the expressions through this all, and the use of Starclan speaking the, "Look who's inside again..." is so perfect! Your expressions just kill me, both in just how good they are, and in the fact they cause me to feel so much pain for Leafpool and Squirrelflight! The part where Squirrelflight had to put on the fake smile for everyone just broke me! Also loved the part when Leafpool shoved the herbs in Squirrelflight's face, was a really cute interaction!

this is absolutely stunning! i love the inclusion of leafpool as an apprentice in the old forest territories because it seems like in a lot of fanwork people gloss over how utterly traumatizing and isolating that time must've been for her especially when she's that young

MY HEART- this is absolutely stunning ! I've never really liked starclan since they're clearly so corrupt yet the books keeps trying to convince us they're good. Telling leafpool to follow her heart and then doing a complete 180 on that and then lying to squirrelflight she's incapable of having kits of her own so she'll take em, always left a bitter taste in my mouth

Leafpool was initially my favorite character from the second arc. However over time I grew to view her more neutrally, and wasn’t fond of some of the directions they took with her story. This video makes me feel connected to her again, and frames her decisions in a much more favoring and sympathetic light

I love how the StarClan cat disappears and then the clouds open up to throw a star spotlight on Leafpool. Since StarClan is known to control the clouds and stars (obviously) are symbolic of StarClan, it really seems like they are encouraging the anger towards Leafpool! Very cool

Hey, this looks brilliant! It tells Leafpools story perfectly and the sketch’s look fantastic! I love the fact that you draw some important scenes with Leafpool/paw from the second series, so many people seem to forgot about those scenes because of the whole kits and crowfeather thing! Also the way Midnight is drawn-

This is the best depiction of my fav character. It includes a lot of things people forget, like leafpool and squirrelflights bond from the second series that just doesn’t get the attention it deserves. IMO, their relationship as sisters is my favorite relationship (romantic or otherwise) in the whole collection

This has been my favorite animatic series to watch come out. This series gives me an outlet for my outrage at Starclan's manipulation and use of Firestar and his daughters and is so validating to watch cause GOD DAMN THEY REALLY DID PUT THEM ON TRIAL HUH. Such a necessary story to make more widely known!! Thank you for making these! Can't wait to see more eventually whenever, no rush <3 :3
