You know, if I could afford to live there... I wouldn't live there.

Didn’t the NYT just run an article about how badly this thing has been swaying?

That's why I chose to stay at my parents basement, it's safer even with strong winds. It's also free

When a Disaster Risk Engineer uses the word "hopefully", you know you're in trouble.

75 million for any property is just plain rediculous.

From the outside it looks like the apartment I'd make in Minecraft if I was feeling lazy.

I read an article recently about this place being a cheaply made hellhole to live in.

$75 million to live in a tower block. Great!

You have to be insane to pay this much money in one of these apartments. You could live in a mansion 10x the size in California with the same money.

Big whoop, I find nothing
about it beautiful, it’s just
one giant jenga set!

Disaster risk engineer? Never heard of that profession.

0:44 did he say "hopefully keeping the building and not moving too much"?

Am I supposed to be impressed that it costs $75 million to live in (what I’m assuming is) the top floors? If all those apartments are millions of dollars, all I’m seeing is wasted residential space cuz I’d be willing to bet the vast majority of those are empty

Even though the tower is engineered to be very sound, I still would not live in there if I got money because of its unstable appearance. The thing looks like it could tip over at any moment.

"active dampers" does that mean it runs off power/electricity? and what if the power goes out?

The height alone would terrify me. No thanks. Not even if you paid me. 😱

I wouldn't even pay 2 grand a month to stay there

I love how the science channels keep milking the tuned mass damper, I have heard them talk a lot about it. Most skyscrapers, bridges and even race cars implemented this technology a long time ago.

Is the damper safe from dropping down ever
