I can vouch for the first tip. Getting to know your instructors is a good way to keep yourself on track. I remember one year, I just sat back in one of my classes, never really talked to my teacher and I was doing terrible. However, the next year, I decided to be more responsible and participate more, talk more, and ask for help when needed. My grades exponentially went up in all subjects as I was able to actively listen and get answers to matters that peaked my curiosity.

My new semester just started and I hope that this time I bring higher grades in math by watching your videos and studying smarter but not harder

This is a great summary, from a person who is not their teacher, of what to do to succeed. My students love you, Brian, so I hope they listen to all of this great advice.

I'm studying in India, so our school year started in June. I did pretty poorly in my first midterm, (38/50), and I was a mess. This was my first time going to school EVER too, I was homeschooled till 8th grade, so I have that going for me. but this was soo helpful. I'm going to put in the work, and make a cheatsheet. I will get an A in math this year. Thank you Mr. McLogan

I got a 90 in math, but I need to get at least 95 to get a scholarship, and I keep making the most minor mistakes. Thank you so much for your tips!!! I wish you were my teacher!

Would it be possible if you can create a video step by step on how to create a cheat cheat (just to make sure we are doing it right)?

Good morning and thanks for the video. I finished applied calculus in the spring, and got an A. I’m starting elementary statistics in the fall, how is that course? Would you say it is easier or harder than applied calculus? Thanks!

Starting back in school since campus closed at the beginning of the pandemic. Failed my 171 class last semester but even though I wasn’t the best college student starting back I realized what my mistakes were (and do remember a lot of the concepts even if at a small amount). I doubted myself and felt bad but one bad semester isn’t life ending. I just need to make a better work ethic, study harder and ask more questions. Thanks for all the helpful tips.

Tips 2 & 7 are interesting. Richard Feynman said if you want to deeply understand a concept, practice explaining it in simple terms that others can understand. I think this happens when kids study together.
