Police investigate deadly shooting in central valley

Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating a deadly shooting in a neighborhood near McCarran International Airport. Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 5000 block of Spencer St, near E. Reno Ave., just after 8:00 p.m., according to Metro Lt. Jessie Roybal. One victim was found and transported to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Two key shameful LVMPD elements are as follows :

1. If it does not involve a tourist or terrorist on the strip forget much, if any, timely effective response from  LVMPD.
Namely a radically disproportionate use of police resources is concentrated on the strip. This leaves the rest of the local citizenry woefully under served, even though our citizenry pays the bulk of the disproportionate LVMPD costs to protect the Casinos  on the strip.

Yes this protects our major tourist industry. But a much larger portion of those costs needs to come directly out of the casino's "pockets" so that LVMPD will have more resources to be more evenly available to local citizenry off strip.

2. In many or most Police departments the current public zeitgeist  to hold the large % of Pigs in the police ranks accountable has caused a backlash by police in general. That backlash is to pull back from doing their job so as to let crime increase. The police are doing this as a form of blackmail of the citizenry to back off from their Pig behaviors  instead of the Pigs backing off from their pig behaviors while yet still doing their job even more effectively..
