MST on the Shadow Spell was cheeky but not anything horrible, I'd have said to swap the two set cards around a few times just so that he doesnt know which is which

DSOD snaked my guy Joey you gotta do a duel of him against Kaiba. His Battle City Deck buffed up with some of the new Red-Eyes support and a Blue Flame Swordsman should do

My favourite Char from the original is definitely Joey. I'm hoping more of his cards get the Red Eyes treatment in the future to make Red Eyes Meta relevant some day^^

Was just thinking of this on the train home after watching DSOD completely headcanon, I reckon that Yugi Mutou must have split his and Atem's decks apart much like how they are their own people now. The deck he had tour the world during the GX Era 10 years later is mainly Atem's just updated with a few cards like BLS-Envoy of the Beggining and MDC while he has his own variant of the deck which he used in DSOD which he kept on his person. I only say this because rhe card art for DM and DMG were different for the film and that could be a fair in-series explanation for that, the original copies are in Atem's deck which Yugi has stored somewhere safe.
