This is the problem, they let them out and they get no help whatsoever, that is why they re-offend

British society is so effed up right now that even the prisoners don’t want to come out of prison, now let that sink in .

And this folks, is why rehabilitation, and ending homelessness costs less than doing nothing.

There's something seriously wrong with society if people prefer prison to living in it.

When prison life is preferred over life on the outside, there is definitely something radically wrong with our system.

People go out of prison just to realize they are in a worse prison than the last one. This is not only in the UK people. The world is curropt, time for a radical change

A lot of prisoners are not going to benefit from early release. Homeless numbers are going to go up.

Imagine been in a place that’s warm, regular and familiar. To being in a place that’s cold, unforgiving & lonely. I know where I’d rather be

I find it bewildering that people's reaction to this isn't to increase quality of life for people on the outside, but to just make the quality of life on the inside worse.

Insidious comments.

Just become a protester against Labour and you will soon be back inside.

Exactly why the government needs to address this issue, because it’s no use releasing people from prison when they don’t have anywhere to go. I feel for this guy, because he’s served his time and still deserves somewhere safe to live as he’s a human being.

There is no point in releasing people when they have nowhere to go, you are just setting them up to fail and end up back in prison

My sister worked in education prison reform and said this 20 years ago . Unless there is something to go to they'll be back in.

Makes you wonder who really are the prisoners?

Shame on the Tories who shut all the alcohol and drug rehabs down, and just threw people in prison with no help or future.

I'm struggling financially, I've seriously considered robbing a bank of £1 so I can get free shelter, three meals, and a library. Prison is mostly full of non-violent drug offenders anyway.

Same with a lot of prisoners. They have addiction problems. It’s the reason why so many are inside. They don’t get the treatment they need in prison so they end up using when they come out which leads to more offences which leads to more prison. Many just steal cos they’re hungry and cos they’re in withdrawal. Yes it’s wrong but when ur sick and desperate morality goes out the window
