Sack was definitely a flawed guy but he’s also a villain with justification. John literally tried to steal this man’s girlfriend right in front of his face and eventually succeeded. Pretty much any guy with a backbone would have reacted in a similar way. Did Sack treat Claire badly and did she deserve better? Absolutely. But to think of John as some great, angelic savior is ridiculous. How much better is a guy who lies about his identity to get into weddings to get free food and drinks and one-night stands with bridesmaids and other women at those weddings?
