1:53 quite interesting considering how "the Sea Peoples" -some of which were undoubtedly of Mycenaean origin - had already established a tradition of raiding Levant, Egypt and Cyprus and fighting as mercenaries in such far away countries.

The 10k were NOT originally a multi-type unit army. They were entirely hoplites & part of a larger Persian force to begin with. During the retreat the formed units of slingers & cavalry due to necessity. That's a bad example of a whole merc army.
