I googled why the heck someone would put peanuts in a coke and google taught me that it started in the 1920s when working people didn't want to eat their peanuts with dirty hands so they poured them into their coke. Interesting.

As a southern, you could've chose different snacks. Other snack options: Cheerwine soda, pork rinds, cow tail/bullseye (candy), Hot fries(chips)
PS: Society tends to view southerns as the stereotypical hillbilly or cowboy "Y'all come back ya hear" that's definitely not how most southerns speak.

I always heard to put the peanuts in RC cola. Not Coke. Try microwaving the Moon Pie for just a few seconds. It makes the marshmallow gooey. Soooo good!

In Arkansas the peanuts and coke is the most popular out of all these snacks. However, y'all did a great job choosing them, I just wish they hadn't been so plain. We season things more in the south LOL
