Manual tools are only as good as the worker who is using them to their fullest potential

I would buy the 30 dollar hammer and call it a day

I remember when pneumatic nail guns came in. We were mostly running 28 oz. Steel Estwings at that time. I took the advice of an older framer and switched to a Vaughn wood handle hammer. Been running wood ever since. I did get the itch and buy a couple of titanium hammers still wood handles though. I like them. I mostly do cabinets and trim now so just a 16 0z heart wood handle is what I use. Still straight claw though, just can’t look at a curve claw hammer. 😂

You can buy the $500 hammer. You can buy the $10 hammer. If you can't swing it, then it dont matter what one you have.

A $250 nail gun will drive that nail 100% of the time.

I bought a boss hammer after seeing one of your videos a while back. I love it. It definitely can't sink a nail or move something like my 28oz stanley wood handle. I think my wrist will prefer the boss after a few more years, though.

I got the "$400" for 120 with a scratch on it. Nice tool at that price I think.

I have a craftsman hammer I may have paid $20 for and I used it as a welding hammer, a framing hammer, a concrete chipping hammer, and it drives nails in 2 swings.

Larry Haughn would make a $10 hammer look like a $1000 hammer

With inflation the way it is, soon all hammers will be $500.

The $400 boss is a glorified estwing, is the same one piece design with a rubber handle, their timber handled hammers would be a better option. The theory behind the stilleto/Martinez is the design of the hammer and the incorporation of titanium instead of steel in the handle, having a much better impact absorption than a steel handle.

My first framer was a 28 oz Millers and I could 2-3 swat them all day long.Wede go thru box sinkers a day.

The cost of the hammers means nothing if the lady behind them doesn't know how to swing them. Stop wasting money on hammers and find a real man to swing it because even a dollar store hammer will out preform all $1240 of your wasted money mam.

My great grandfather bought an estwing hammer like 70 years ago. Not sure how much he paid but my grandfather used it. My dad used it and now it’s in my tool belt.

Back when my dad was a framer he could drive a 3 inch spike in two hits, and the first one was more of a tap to set the nail. He could do that with an old estwing, didn't need a fancy 4-5 hundred dollar hammer neither. A tool is just a tool, can only do as good of a job as the person using it.

If you need to spend more than $50 for a Hammer, then you are shopping for something else

This is like getting a landcruiser, a ferrari, and a john deere tractor and seeing which one is easiest to drive in a parking lot

The only way I’d spend that kind of hammer if I was framing all day. And if I knew I would be working for more than 1 year. I think it would be an investment. As a plumber I’m good with a cheap one.

They are worth the money if younhave it spare. The multiple use of my fancy hammer surpasses anything I have ever owened. Pull big nails, pull little nails, lift plates, light in the hand, no vibration etc etc
